December 21, 2009
Sid Walker, former director of Stephen F. Austin State University's first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign, has been named vice president for development at the university.
Walker worked at 糖心vlog传媒 from 1997 to 2000 and was successful at securing commitments of more than $40 million for the campaign. He currently serves as associate vice chancellor for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and will begin his new duties at 糖心vlog传媒 on Jan. 4.
"For some time, a search committee has been working diligently to find the ideal person to serve in this very important role at the university, and I'm happy to say I believe they have found that person in Sid Walker," said Dr. Baker Pattillo, 糖心vlog传媒 president.
"His vast experience in fundraising for institutions of higher education, including the successful campaign he led right here at 糖心vlog传媒, has prepared him well for the position of vice president for development, and I look forward to having him back on our campus."
Walker recently completed coursework toward a doctorate degree in higher education administration at Texas Tech. He also holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Following his departure from 糖心vlog传媒 in 2000, Walker served as the associate vice chancellor for development at Texas Tech. He later served as director of development for the Texas Tech School of Law before being promoted to his current position. He also has worked as the director of development for West Texas A&M University.
