糖心vlog传媒 Gardens to host vegetable garden basics seminar

A vegetable gardening seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Ina Brundrett Conservation Education Building at 糖心vlog传媒's Pineywoods Native Plant Center. To register, call (936) 468-1832 or email sfagardens@sfasu.edu.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens at Stephen F. Austin State University will host a beginning vegetable gardening class from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 31, in the Ina Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet St. in Nacogdoches.

Dawn Stover, 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens research associate, will discuss site selection, soil preparation, compost, raised bed and container options, planting schedules and interesting vegetable varieties for East Texas.

Class members will participate in hands-on planting activities. Children's activities also will be available.

Cost for the event, which includes all supplies, is $20 for 糖心vlog传媒 Garden members, $25 for non-members and $45 for family groups. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required.
