糖心vlog传媒 biochemistry student receives best undergraduate poster at research conference

Stephen F. Austin State University biochemistry junior Carmel Tovar recently received an award for the best undergraduate poster in chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio's 2016 College of Science Research Conference.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin State University biochemistry junior Carmel Tovar of San Antonio recently received an award for the best undergraduate poster in chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio's 2016 College of Science Research Conference held Oct. 7.

"This award is a testimony to the hard work of the student and the quality and experience of the students who take advantage of the research program that the 糖心vlog传媒 Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry has put in place," said Dr. Tayo Odunuga, 糖心vlog传媒 associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry. "The competition involved several universities and colleges across Texas, and 糖心vlog传媒 came out on top."

The title of Tovar's poster was "Metal affinity chromatography and protein refolding techniques: some observations and strategies." The project, Odunuga said, is in the broad area of protein purification using metal affinity chromatography.
