Children of the court named for ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Homecoming

Robert Kubacak and Avery Turner, both of Nacogdoches, will serve as children of the court during Stephen F. Austin State University’s 2022 Homecoming celebrations this weekend. 


NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Robert Kubacak and Avery Turner, both of Nacogdoches, will serve as children of the court during Stephen F. Austin State University’s 2022 Homecoming celebrations this weekend.

Robert is the 6-year-old son of Tony Kubacak and Sasha Kubacak ’08. Avery is the 9-year-old daughter of Trey Turner ’98 and ’02 and Lindsey Turner ’04 and ’07.

Robert is a kindergartener at Christ Episcopal School and enjoys art, animals and karate. He wants to be a pilot when he grows up. Avery attended the Early Childhood Laboratory and is currently in fourth grade at the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Charter School. She enjoys playing with her sisters and friends, going to church, and attending ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ basketball games.

Robert and Avery will ride in the Homecoming parade Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Later, they will participate in the crowning of the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Homecoming queen during halftime of the football game between ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ and Utah Tech University, which begins at 2 p.m. at Homer Bryce Stadium.
