Allied health scholarships

Lumberjacks pursuing a major in the Department of Allied Health Studies are also eligible for several specific scholarships.

Harling-Jagoe Scholarship

The is intended for a student majoring in history or kinesiology with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Students must show financial need.

John and Beverly Linney Scholarship

The is for a student with junior standing (at least 66 hours) who is not a member of an athletic team. The student must plan to enter the coaching profession and have a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Dr. Lucille Norton Scholarship

The is for a student with senior standing (at least 99 hours) who has completed a minimum of 20 hours of physical education courses. The award is intended for the student with the highest cumulative grade point average.

Dr. Jane Robertson Scholarship

The is for a student majoring in kinesiology, all-level physical education, with a special education endorsement. The student must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.

Dr. June Irwin Outstanding Female Kinesiology Graduate Award

This scholarship is awarded to the top female kinesiology graduate each year.

Roy Hanna Outstanding Men's Kinesiology Graduate Award

This scholarship is awarded to the top male kinesiology graduate each year.

Neil Post Memorial Graduate Athletic Trainer Scholarship

The is intended for a student in a graduate-level athletic training program maintaining a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.

Nina Partin Athletic Trainer Scholarship

The is intended for a kinesiology student who plans to enter the field of athletic training.

Dr. Alvera Griffin Health Education Scholarship

The is intended for a junior or senior majoring or minoring in public health.

Dorothy Allen Health Education Scholarship

The is intended for a public health major or a student selecting public health as a secondary teaching field.

Allene and Randolph Hankla Memorial Scholarship

The Allene and Randolph Hankla Memorial Scholarship scholarship supports graduate students majoring in counseling and maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

East Texas Speech Language Hearing Association Scholarship

The is to support a graduate student majoring in speech-language pathology.

Elnita Ostrom Stanley Speech Pathology Scholarship

The is to benefit a student majoring in speech-language pathology with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients may be seniors going on to graduate school.
