ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ art galleries closed during Thanksgiving break
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Art galleries operated by the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art will close Wednesday, Nov. 23, for the Thanksgiving holidays and reopen Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Currently on display in the on-campus Griffith Gallery is "Art of the Pacific Rim: Artifacts and Art from Northwest America, Oceania, Melanesia, Asia and Central America."
The exhibition, which comprises over 30 masks, weapons, dolls and artifacts from the private collection of Nacogdoches residents Dr. Robert Gruebel and Jo Ellen H. Carlson, will close on Friday, Dec. 16.

The Stephen F. Austin State University Repertory Dance Company will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and 18, and again at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Lucille Norton HPE Complex, Room 201. The concert will feature works by dance program faculty, guest artists and senior choreographers.
Professor Stan Bobo contributes "After Midnight Before Dawn," a tap piece about zombies. Adjunct faculty member Heather Samuelson is premiering No Strings Attached and has restaged "Broken Darkness," a piece she created last spring for the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ dance program.
