ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ to stage student-directed 'The Saga of Cuchulain'


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre will present a student-directed production of W.B. Yeats' "The Saga of Cuchulain" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. All performances are in the Downstage Theatre located on the first floor of the Griffith Fine Arts Building.

The full-length production, which is taken from a series of plays known as the Cuchulain Cycle, is actually three dance plays, explained Weslaco senior Jonathan Garcia, director.

'A Bounty of Voices' to benefit ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ choir's tour


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Tickets are now available to "A Bounty of Voices," a fund-raising dinner musicale being presented by the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ School of Music and Friends of Music at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the Grand Ballroom of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. Proceeds will benefit the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ A Cappella Choir's May tour to Austria and the Czech Republic.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Faculty members of the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music will be the featured performers during the annual Pi Kappa Lambda Recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in Cole Concert Hall on the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ campus.

"This concert showcases our diverse faculty and their talent," said Deborah Dalton, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ associate professor of voice and president of the local chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society.
