The children鈥檚 play presented by Main Street Theater of Houston is based on the book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin, used with permission of Pippin Properties, Inc., and adapted by James E. Grote and George Howe.
Saturday Morning Art Program provides valuable learning opportunity for 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 senior art education students
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art welcomed 25 elementary and middle school students this spring to participate in the Saturday Morning Art Program.
Dr. Dan Li, visiting assistant professor of art education, coordinated the program as part of the service-learning component in her art education course.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University student journalists received 23 awards from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association for their performance at a statewide journalism competition and for their contributions to the student newspaper and yearbook during 2023.
The Pine Log student newspaper earned nine awards for previously published work, and the Stone Fort yearbook also won nine awards, including an Overall Excellence trophy, for the centennial volume titled 鈥淎 Century of Tradition.鈥

UT System executive vice chancellor to address May 糖心vlog传媒 graduates
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Dr. Archie Holmes, the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at The University of Texas System, will give the commencement addresses during Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 four graduation ceremonies May 10-11.
Holmes provides oversight and guidance for the nine UT System academic institutions, which enroll more than 228,000 students, produce nearly 60,000 graduates a year, and have an aggregate annual operating budget of more than $7.7 billion.
糖心vlog传媒 Gardens to host Botany Bliss educational workshop for families
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Kay Jenkins, 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens environmental education programs coordinator, is hosting a Saturday Science Adventure beginning at 9 a.m. May 11 at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center.
Attendees will learn how botanists identify plants using characteristics such as overall size, leaf shape, flower parts and more. Participants will be encouraged to use their observation skills and build their appreciation for the biodiversity and beauty of the natural world around them as they participate in a guided tour of the gardens.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Contemporary Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University will stream the ensemble鈥檚 recorded works on the 糖心vlog传媒 School of Music鈥檚 YouTube Channel at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2.
To celebrate the opening of the Sound Recording Technology program鈥檚 new recording studios in the Griffith Fine Arts Building, the Contemporary Ensemble most recently focused on producing recorded works, according the James Adams, SRT associate professor and director of the Contemporary Ensemble.
McBroom named 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 director of athletics
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 Michael McBroom has been appointed director of athletics at Stephen F. Austin State University by Interim President Gina Oglesbee and The University of Texas System. Currently serving as director of athletics at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, McBroom will officially join the Department of Athletics on May 15.
Friday Night Film Series to screen student films
