NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - As part of its monthly independent film series, the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of "Beauty Is Embarrassing" at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

"Beauty Is Embarrassing" chronicles the "vaulted highs and the crushing lows" of a commercial artist struggling to find peace and balance between his work and his art, according to Lisa Steed, interim director of galleries for ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½.
