Bright Ideas Conference to highlight ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ faculty research, scholarship and artistry


NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The 2012 Bright Ideas Conference highlighting faculty research, scholarship and artistry at Stephen F. Austin State University will be held Wednesday, April 11, in the Baker Pattillo Student Center.

More than 80 research posters and scholarly exhibits will be on display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. Spotlight exhibits will be featured in the Twilight Ballroom. A reception honoring the spotlight exhibitors will begin at 4 p.m. in the Twilight Ballroom, followed by the awards ceremony.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre will present a student-directed production of Yazim Reza's "Art" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31. All performances will be in the Downstage Theatre located on the first floor of the Griffith Fine Arts Building.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Members of the Stephen F. Austin State University music faculty will present music by Stefan Cwik, Darius Milhaud, Ferenc Farkas and others during "Coleidoscope" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in Cole Concert Hall on the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ campus.

"The recital's title reflects my colleagues and my wish to honor our invaluable patrons, Ed and Gwen Cole, during this kaleidoscope of chamber music," said cellist Dr. Evgeni Raychev, the event's organizer.
