NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - A collaborative project between Stephen F. Austin State University student writers and artists will culminate in the opening of "Pen, Pigment & Metal: Collaborate" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, in Griffith Gallery, located in Griffith Fine Arts Building, Room 208.
For the project, fiction-writing students, under the direction of Assistant Professor Andrew Brininstool, wrote short stories that the art metal/jewelry students, directed by Assistant Professor Lauren B. Selden, responded to by creating three-dimensional works of art.

The Choral Union, an auditioned 70-voice mixed choir, will open the concert with three works that serve as a "sampling for the energetic musical expressions, both sacred and secular, of 20th-century Argentina," said Howard.

Under the direction of ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Associate Professor Deb Scott, the Aces will begin the concert with a program that includes Gordon Goodwin's arrangement of Cole Porter's "It's All Right with Me" and Oliver Nelson's "Black, Brown, and Beautiful," featuring Nacogdoches sophomore Jacob Barnhill on alto saxophone.
