NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Reservations are now being accepted for a bus tour to the Dallas Cultural Arts District on Friday, Feb. 13, sponsored by the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art.
Participants will be able to visit the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Crowe Collection of Asian Art.
"The highlight of the trip will be 'Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs' at the Dallas Museum of Art," said Jill Carrington, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ associate professor of art history and the trip's coordinator.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - As part of its monthly film series, the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free one-night screening of "Man on Wire" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, in the Ledbetter Gallery of The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches.
East Texas Geospatial Conference set for Jan. 21-23
Geographic Information Systems users, emergency response specialists, and forestry and natural resource professionals will converge on downtown Nacogdoches for the third-annual East Texas Geospatial Conference Jan. 21-23 at Hotel Fredonia.
The conference will provide GIS professionals opportunities for learning, networking and training and will feature Robert Joseph, director of the U.S. Geological Survey Texas Water Science Center, as keynote speaker on Wednesday. Mary Jo Naschke, public information officer for the City of Galveston, will serve as keynote speaker on Thursday.

Holiday Programming on ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½-TV2
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½-TV2, the Stephen F. Austin State University television station, will air holiday shows continuously each evening through Christmas. The programs were produced by students in Dr. Al Greule's television-production courses.
The RHA Holiday Extravaganza features performances by Soul to Soul Gospel Choir, the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Choir and the Raguet Elementary School Choir and holiday music from the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ band. The show ends with the lighting of the Christmas tree located in front of the Austin Building.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Art galleries operated by the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art will be closed for a portion of the university's semester break.
The Ed and Gwen Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches, will be closed Sunday, Dec. 21, through Friday, Jan. 2. It will resume its normal hours of 12:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, on Saturday, Jan. 3.
