ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ offering scholarships for bilingual students


Scholarships are available at Stephen F. Austin State University for bilingual students pursuing a Master of Social Work degree and seeking a career in mental health in Texas after graduation.

"Two scholarships were awarded in the fall semester, and a third is available through competition for a student beginning the MSW program at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ in the spring 2009 semester," said Sharon Templeman, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ associate professor of social work and director of the master's degree program.

The professor responsible for preserving the history of Stephen F. Austin State University and placing historical markers on its campus will serve as the commencement speaker for the graduation ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 13 in William R. Johnson Coliseum. In addition to serving as professor of history, Dr. Jere Jackson is director of the Center for East Texas Studies and serves as the official university historian.
