ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ to host fall plant sale


NACOGDOCHES, Texas --The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Mast Arboretum will host its annual Fabulous Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Intramural Fields on Wilson Drive.

This event features the annual fall plant sale fundraiser benefiting the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Mast Arboretum, Pineywoods Native Plant Center, Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden and their various educational programs. All of the plants are produced at ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ by the staff, students and volunteers.

University Research Council recommends faculty grants

ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ music prep offers new piano instruction program


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS -Piano pedagogy students in the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music and ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½'s Music Preparatory Division will partner to offer a new program for 6- to 12-year-olds wanting to learn to play the piano.

Students enrolled in the Piano Laboratory Program will receive weekly 30-minute private lessons and 30-minute group lessons, each taught by an ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ college student working towards a piano pedagogy certification. The program is under the leadership of Dr. Mario Ajero, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ assistant professor of piano pedagogy.
