NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Students in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Nelson Rusche College of Business earned first place at the U.S. Soccer Student Hackathon during the 2025 World Cup Innovation Summit last month in Frisco.

鈥淭he hackathon is part of ongoing efforts to foster innovation and analytics in sport, with 糖心vlog传媒 students standing out among national peers,鈥� said Dr. Derek Walton, assistant professor of sports business who advised the 糖心vlog传媒 team.

Austin State University鈥檚 Legislative Internship Program, five students served during the 89th Texas Legislature and learned the intricacies of Texas lawmaking and civic leadership. While gaining hands-on experiences, they left a strong impression in Austin.

Austin State University鈥檚 Nelson Rusche College of Business gained firsthand insight into how manufacturing and heritage brand companies operate in a global context during a study abroad trip to Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary May 12-22.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� As Christian Women鈥檚 Job Corps Nacogdoches continues to gain both clients and volunteers, students in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Nelson Rusche College of Business are providing assistance to help with that growth while developing skills for their future careers.  

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Marking the second time in university history, three Stephen F. Austin State University students represented the university in the Archer Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C. during the spring semester 鈥� joining peers from across The University of Texas System and getting a front-row seat to the policymaking process through the elite program.
