Austin State University education graduate student Kacie Clopp attended the international University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she joined more than 1,000 emerging leaders from around the world to engage in high-impact conversations on humanitarian issues and global change.

The awareness month designated by the International Association of Emergency Managers recognizes the vital role emergency management professionals play in keeping campuses and communities safe, informed and resilient.

Austin State University officially unveiled the Pineywoods Dining Hall — the university’s first mass timber building and the first mass timber project in The University of Texas System — on Thursday, ushering in a new era of campus dining and welcoming both the university and Nacogdoches communities to explore the new space.
