糖心vlog传媒 student journalists earn statewide recognition


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University student journalists received 25 awards from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association for their performance at a statewide journalism competition and for their contributions to campus media outlets throughout 2021.

The Pine Log, 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 student newspaper, earned 12 awards for previously published/broadcast content, and the Stone Fort yearbook won nine awards for its 2020-21 volume. KSAU, 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 student-run radio station, also received a first-place award in the advertising/PSA/Promo-Audio category.

糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Model EU team earned Best Delegation at the Midwest Model European Union competition


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Model European Union team, which consists of nine political science majors within the Department of Government, earned Best Delegation honors at the Midwest Model European Union Competition.

Austin Stage University will present the traditional soca and calypso music of Trinidad and Tobago, along with versions of rock and pop songs with an island twist, when the student ensemble performs at 6 p.m. Monday, April 18, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 President Scott Gordon and the university have mutually agreed that it is in the best interest of both parties for the employment relationship to end. 糖心vlog传媒 dietetics students gain hands-on experience in mock ICU lab


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 School of Human Sciences and the 糖心vlog传媒 of Nursing completed a nutrition simulation for dietetics students using a case study for Type 1 diabetes.
 
The simulation, delayed for two years due to COVID-19, was the first of its kind, with third-semester nursing students role-playing as patients and dietetics students role-playing as professionals in a clinical setting.

Located within North America鈥檚 central migratory flyway, Texas provides a diversity of habitat critical to the survival of millions of birds on their biennial journey to breeding or wintering habitats.

Stone Fort Museum earns the Mitchell A. Wilder Silver Publication Design Award


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 The Texas Association of Museums recently awarded the Stone Fort Museum the Mitchell A. Wilder Silver Publication Design Award for a poster created by Ajani Brown, senior art education major and Stone Fort Museum assistant. The poster was created to market the museum鈥檚 event, 鈥淓speranza鈥檚 Night Out at the Stone Fort Museum.鈥
