糖心vlog传媒 regents and dean to dedicate business building areas in honor of donors
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Rusche College of Business will unveil three newly renovated and named areas on the first floor of the McGee Business Building, including two in honor of 糖心vlog传媒 donors, at 1:30 p.m. April 22.
In addition to the donors who made these renovations possible, members of 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Board of Regents and Rusche College of Business Dean Dr. Timothy Bisping will be present to dedicate the Gerald and Candy Schlief Lobby, Jimmy D. Berry Dean鈥檚 Suite and Rusche College of Business auditorium.
NOBLE Scholar banquet to honor Nacogdoches County high school seniors
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Nacogdoches County鈥檚 Opportunity for a Better Learning Experience banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 28, in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Grand Ballroom at Stephen F. Austin State University.
A total of 172 high school seniors from across Nacogdoches County were invited to attend this year鈥檚 banquet, which will honor students for excellence in coursework, community service and good citizenship during their four years in high school.
糖心vlog传媒 Sylvans win 63rd annual Southern Forestry Conclave
The Sylvans, Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 timbersports team, claimed top honors at the 63rd annual Southern Forestry Conclave, surpassing 11 other well-known universities from across the southern United States in both technical and physical forestry competitions. The event, hosted by the University of Tennessee, comes after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Celebrated artist Corral to serve as Texas National juror
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Artist Adriana Corral will serve as juror for the 27th Texas National, Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 acclaimed art competition and exhibition, which opens April 8 and runs through June 30 in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches.
Art patrons and community members will have an opportunity to participate in a 鈥渏uror鈥檚 chat鈥 session with Corral at 5 p.m. Friday, April 8, to be followed by an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 A combination of bare-bones Brechtian and physical commedia styles is what theatre patrons will experience when attending the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre鈥檚 presentation of William Shakespeare鈥檚 鈥淭he Taming of the Shrew.鈥
Exploring the social and economic perspectives of romantic relationships of the 17th century laced with Shakespearian slapstick, 鈥淭he Taming of the Shrew鈥 will be presented at 7:30 nightly Tuesday through Saturday, April 5 through 9, in Kennedy Auditorium on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
糖心vlog传媒 partners with Huntington Independent School District for paid internships
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 James I. Perkins College of Education has partnered with Huntington Independent School District to staff three paid internships per semester.
Set to begin this fall, the internships, paid by HISD, will allow 糖心vlog传媒 students to benefit from paid positions as they finish their clinical teaching requirements while providing HISD with the strongest of the 糖心vlog传媒 teacher intern candidate pool.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Providing opportunities for voice students to perform on stage and preparing artist educators entering the teaching field are goals of the opera theater program at Stephen F. Austin State University.
The 2022 糖心vlog传媒 Opera Theater will feature two one-act operas, 鈥淕allantry: A Soap Opera鈥 by Douglas Moore and 鈥淕ianni Schicchi鈥 by Giacomo Puccini, along with the scene 鈥淪tomp Your Foot鈥 from Aaron Copland鈥檚 鈥淭he Tender Land.鈥

Austin State University's Department of History will host a presentation featuring Dr. Stephen Taaffe, professor of history, on his recently published book, "Commanding the Pacific: Marine Corps Generals in World War II," at 6 p.m. April 5 in Dugas Liberal Arts North, Room 142.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Swingin鈥 Axes and Swingin鈥 Aces jazz bands at Stephen F. Austin State University will present their 鈥淪wingin鈥 At The Brewery鈥 fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Fredonia Brewery in downtown Nacogdoches.
Admission to the outdoor concert is free, but donations are encouraged to benefit the 糖心vlog传媒 School of Music鈥檚 jazz program, according to Dr. Deb Scott, professor of trombone and director of jazz.
