NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The Stephen F. Austin State University Rusche College of Business recently secured a corporate partnership with Mustang Machinery Company, Ltd., a company that sells and rents construction equipment and engines and operates under the name Mustang Cat.

鈥淐OVID-19 brought an immediate halt to our university鈥檚 classes on campus as well as all events, including our annual Graduate Research Conference,鈥� said Dr. Pauline Sampson, dean of the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. 鈥淥ur great committee jumped into action to change the format from a face-to-face to virtual conference.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� A Stephen F. Austin State University art student and a recipient of the Ed and Gwen Cole Dean鈥檚 Award in Art has been accepted into a highly competitive Master of Fine Arts program at Texas Tech University, where she has also been awarded several scholarships.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 School of Human Sciences is now offering a Bachelor of Science in construction management.

A partnership among 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture, College of Sciences and Mathematics, James I. Perkins College of Education and Rusche College of Business, the construction management program began in fall 2019.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� COVID-19 has affected people in all aspects of their lives 鈥� socially, professionally and, for some, nutritionally. Thankfully, Nacogdoches Helping Other People Eat, the largest food pantry in East Texas, is receiving assistance from many community members in helping feed the hungry during this uncertain time, including Lizette Rojas, a Stephen F. Austin State University social work student and intern.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The winning artist in the 2020 Texas National Competition and Exhibition at Stephen F. Austin State University is Boerne artist Victoria Gonzales.

The announcement was made recently on the 糖心vlog传媒 School of Art website, which also features a short walk-through video of this year鈥檚 exhibition in The Cole Art Center @ the Old Opera House, 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 historic downtown art gallery. Annette Lawrence, professor of studio art in the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, judged the entries with the assistance of a video.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - This semester鈥檚 special-topics class in business communication at Stephen F. Austin State University started out as a crash-course in data visualization, with students tracking financial and logistics information as well as the occurrence and location of wildfires, both nationally and in Texas, using Tableau software.
 

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Classrooms at the Stephen F. Austin State University Charter School are frozen in time. Incomplete drawings and books with marked pages rest in students鈥� cubbies.

鈥淲hen we said goodbye for spring break, my students and I didn鈥檛 get a chance to savor the moment because we thought we would be right back,鈥� said Alyssa Landreneaux, a fifth-grade teacher at the school.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� For East Texas students who look forward to participating in the Art Academy each summer at Stephen F. Austin State University, news that the current COVID-19 pandemic had forced the academy鈥檚 cancellation this year was disappointing.

But, to fill that void, 糖心vlog传媒 art education students put their talents to work creating art instruction videos that highlight art and cultural and historical art traditions.
