糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Stone Fort Wind Quintet faculty ensemble to perform


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Stone Fort Wind Quintet at Stephen F. Austin State University will perform works by Endre Szerv谩nszky, Marc Mellits and Arne Running when the faculty ensemble presents a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
 
The quintet is comprised of Dr. Christina Guenther, flute; Dr. Christopher Ayer, clarinet; Dr. Cody Hunter, bassoon; Dr. Jenna Sehmann, oboe; and Dr. Andrea Denis, horn.
 

Dalmas-Raychev: Hachidori Duo to perform at 糖心vlog传媒


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Hachidori Duo, featuring the husband-wife team of Dr. Evgeni Raychev, cello, and Dr. Jennifer Dalmas, violin, will present the program 鈥淢usical Gems for Violin and Cello Duo鈥 at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in Cole Concert Hall on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University.
 
Raychev and Dalmas are faculty members in the 糖心vlog传媒 School of Music and will perform works by J. J. F. Dotzauer, Erwin Schulhoff and Peteris Vasks, among other composers.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University has named Dr. Forrest Lane, an educator with nearly 20 years in a variety of academic and administrative positions within higher education, dean of the Office of Research and Graduate Studies.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The student-led Economics Reading Group in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Rusche College of Business is hosting a discussion on entrepreneurship with Kevin Carr, a 1992 糖心vlog传媒 finance graduate and owner of Community Beer Co. in Dallas, at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 in the McGee Business Building, Room 133, on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus. The event is free and open to the public.

鈥楢 Collection of Works by Piero Fenci鈥 showing on 糖心vlog传媒 campus


The Teresa Jill Adams Art Gallery in the Griffith Fine Arts Building, Stephen F. Austin State University campus, currently features a collection of works by ceramicist Piero Fenci. The exhibition features a combination of ceramics and ink drawings on paper. These works will be on view through Nov. 3 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27.
 

糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 horticulture program to host Fall Plant Fair


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 horticulture program will host its sixth annual Fall Plant Fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the 糖心vlog传媒 Plantery, located at 1924 Wilson Drive behind the Agriculture Building. 

Plants available for purchase include a variety of winter annuals, such as pansies, violas, wallflowers, sweet alyssum and snapdragons. All are winter hardy and perform well in East Texas climates. Plants will sell for $2.50 per pot. 

糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Percussion Ensemble to perform


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Percussion Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University will perform works by Austin Franklin, Michael Burritt, Nathan Daughtrey and other percussionists in a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
 

糖心vlog传媒 to screen 鈥楯ohn G. Avildsen: King of the Underdogs鈥


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and the Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of 鈥淛ohn G. Avildsen: King of the Underdogs,鈥 directed by filmmaker and 糖心vlog传媒 alumnus Derek Wayne Johnson, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Student ensembles in the Sound Recording Technology program at Stephen F. Austin State University will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3 in Turner Auditorium, Griffith Fine Arts Building, on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
