NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Stephen F. Austin State University aviation sciences students can begin their piloting careers sooner because the university is now one of only four higher education institutions in Texas authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration to certify students are eligible for their Restricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Dr. Jose Carbajal, associate professor in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 School of Social Work, was awarded the 2025 EMDR International Association Ambassador Award during the organization鈥檚 conference in Anaheim, California.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens will host its annual Fabulous Fall Festival Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center located at 2900 Raguet St. in historic Nacogdoches.

The sale will feature an array of hard-to-find 鈥淭exas tough鈥� plants, East Texas natives and pollinator-friendly selections. Expect to find great trees, including Japanese maples, red buds, bald cypress and more. A list of all available plants will be posted on the 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens website two weeks before the sale.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Fifteen Stephen F. Austin State University students capped off their summer I term 鈥淒iscovering Business鈥� course in the Nelson Rusche College of Business with a trip to Estonia and Finland at the end of July.

The study abroad course, now in its third year, is designed to introduce incoming first-year and current students of all majors to business concepts and principles while helping them meet fellow Lumberjacks and faculty members before the fall semester starts.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Three finance sophomores from Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Nelson Rusche College of Business were selected for The University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Company Scholars program this year.

Madison Custer of Spring, Davis Huddle of Houston and Raymundo Perez of Frisco form the second group of 糖心vlog传媒 students selected for this opportunity, which was made possible by the university鈥檚 affiliation with the UT System two years ago.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Stephen F. Austin State University will honor its 2025 alumni award recipients and 糖心vlog传媒 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at The Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches.

This year, 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Division of University Advancement and Department of Athletics have joined forces to launch a new event format and name: Lumberjack Legacies. The spirited evening will honor the accomplishments and impact of 糖心vlog传媒 alumni.
