糖心vlog传媒 community nutrition students to lead Cooking Matters program
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Representatives from the East Texas Food Bank in Tyler recently visited Stephen F. Austin State University to kick off a six-week Cooking Matters program in Nacogdoches.
This is the fourth year 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 School of Human Sciences has partnered with the food bank to provide this informative and interactive program to the community. Justin Pelham, food, nutrition and dietetics clinical instructor at 糖心vlog传媒, is using this program as a class project to provide an opportunity for students to showcase their skills in a real-world setting.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Dean鈥檚 Circle at Stephen F. Austin State University is celebrating a milestone this year, marking a decade of recognizing the accomplishments of students within the 糖心vlog传媒 College of Fine Arts.
Established by Dr. A.C. 鈥淏uddy鈥 Himes when he arrived at 糖心vlog传媒 as dean of the College of Fine Arts, the Dean鈥檚 Circle is an external support organization of community members founded in 2008 and 鈥渄edicated, in part, to nurturing potential young artists within the College of Fine Arts,鈥 according to Himes.
糖心vlog传媒 to host events in recognition of Sexual Violence Awareness Month
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Coordinated Community Response Team will host a number of free educational seminars and events beginning at 6 p.m. every Tuesday in October in recognition of Sexual Violence Awareness Month.
The events, held in the Baker Pattillo Student Center, will cover a range of topics, including bystander intervention and rape prevention, as well as a screening and discussion of 鈥淭he Hunting Ground,鈥 an award-winning documentary examining the incidence of sexual assault on college campuses.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Christina Guenther and Ron Petti, faculty members in the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music, will present the recital 鈥淧oems and Dragons鈥 at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus as a feature of the 糖心vlog传媒 Friends of Music Concert Series.
Guenther, professor of flute, and Petti, professor and director of accompanying at 糖心vlog传媒, will present a program of music by Charles Griffes, Jennifer Higdon, Eric Ewazen and Howard Buss 鈥 all American composers.
Stone Fort Museum to host two maker workshops
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Stone Fort Museum will host two maker workshops in October as part of the Nacogdoches Public Library鈥檚 Big Read campaign.
The workshops blend the history of everyday carry, on display in the museum鈥檚 current 鈥淧ocket, Purse and Pack: Digging into Every Day Carry鈥 exhibit that will run through May 2019, with the everyday carry of the post-apocalyptic future envisioned in Emily St. John Mandel鈥檚 novel, 鈥淪tation Eleven.鈥

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 A sold-out auditorium is anticipated for 鈥淎n Evening with Branford Marsalis鈥 when the College of Fine Arts at Stephen F. Austin State University presents the jazz great in an Encore Event performance at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 online master鈥檚 degree in early childhood education ranked third most affordable in nation
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University's online master's degree program in early childhood education has been ranked the third most affordable online program in the nation by Grad School Hub, a website dedicated to helping students find the best graduate degrees nationwide.
Site editors used the National Center for Education Statistics to research the best graduate programs in the U.S. Tuition rates, gainful employment disclosures and outcome measures were analyzed in determining the ranking.
