糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 University Series opens with 鈥楽hadows at Dawn鈥 Latin music program


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts will open the 2024-25 season with an exciting program of Latin American music featuring the husband-wife team Dr. Juan Carlos and Dr. Jeana Paul-Ure帽a, professor and chair, respectively, in 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Department of Languages, Cultures and Communication, and friends from Brazil and Costa Rica along with School of Music faculty members.

鈥淪hadows at Dawn 鈥 An Evening of Latin American Sounds鈥 is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Turner Auditorium in the Griffith Fine Arts Building.

糖心vlog传媒 music faculty members to present works of Sherr


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Faculty members of Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 School of Music will present the recital 鈥淟aurence Sherr: Chamber Music for Flute鈥 at 6 p.m. Sept. 5 in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

The performance will feature Dr. Christina Guenther, flute: Debbie Berry, soprano; Dr. James Vilseck, percussion; Dr. Brad Meyer, percussion; Carlos Gaviria, bass; and Dr. Thomas Nixon, piano; with Dr. Tamey Anglley conducting. The composer will also be in attendance.

糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 veteran services director Colby-Lynch publishes book about her experiences in the US Marine Corps


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 Stesha Colby-Lynch, director of Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Veterans Services, recently authored and published the book, 鈥淣o One Leaves Unscathed: A Woman in the Marine Corps,鈥 which recounts her journey beginning as a Marine dependent in her childhood to her own service, as well as her struggles as a student veteran.
