NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Students in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 School of Art and  Mass Communication and Marketing departments earned honors at the annual District 10 American Advertising Federation Student Conference and Competition held in November in Houston.

糖心vlog传媒 students worked alongside their peers from other universities in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma to create and present an advertising campaign. This year鈥檚 client was PSR Brands, a company that produces dietary supplements including hydration/energy drinks P10 and Suerotil.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and the Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of the film 鈥淟apsis,鈥�  written and directed by Noah Hutton, at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens will host the monthly Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Jan. 11 in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, located at 2900 Raguet St.

Dr. Andrew King, 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens assistant director and horticulture alumnus, will present 鈥淚t鈥檚 a Brand-new Day at 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens: What鈥檚 New and What鈥檚 Not.鈥�

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Several economics and finance seniors in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Rusche College of Business spent the fall semester working on real-world economic problems in deep East Texas as part of a grant received by the college鈥檚 Center for Business and Economic Research.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� A new partnership with Coursera, a global online learning platform, will give Stephen F. Austin State University students, employees and alumni the opportunity to earn more than 40 professional certifications and develop a competitive edge in their current and future careers.

Made possible by 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 affiliation with The University of Texas System, the partnership gives Lumberjacks free access to Career Academy, which features more than 300 short courses taught by leading companies, including Google, IBM and Meta.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Stone Fort Museum will host the Interior East Texas event to kick off the Nacogdoches Public Library鈥檚 Big Read program. The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 20 at the museum on 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 campus.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens will host a plant propagation workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 27 in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center on campus.

During the workshop, Dr. Andrew King, 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens assistant director, will discuss propagation tips and tricks and invite participants to try their hand at plant propagation.
