NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present the Piney Woods Camerata at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, in Cole Concert Hall on the ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ campus.
The conductor-less ensemble formed in 2007, is composed of ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ string faculty members Drs. Jennifer Dalmas (violin) and Evgeni Raychev (cello) together with select ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ string students. The group is dedicated to performing music from the baroque and classical periods. For the April 10 concert, pianist Dr. Geneva Fung, ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ staff accompanist, will join the group.
Six area artists accepted to 'Texas National 2011'
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The School of Art at Stephen F. Austin State University has announced that works by six Nacogdoches and Lufkin artists will be included in "TEXAS NATIONAL 2011," which will open with a 6 to 8:30 p.m. reception Saturday, April 9, in the Ledbetter Gallery of The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, located at 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches. The show will run through Saturday, May 21.

ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Wind Ensemble to present 'Monuments' concert
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Musical compositions with some sort of monumental aspect will be presented by the Stephen F. Austin State University Wind Ensemble during its "Monuments" concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in W.M. Turner Auditorium.
The featured work will be David Maslanka's Symphony No. 8, which ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Director of Bands Fred J. Allen calls an "epic work." "The ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ bands have been part of commissions for pieces by David Maslanka on three previous occasions, so we are always interested in his latest compositions."
ÌÇÐÄvlog´«Ã½ Theatre to present student-directed 'Stop Kiss'

Austin State University School of Theatre will present a student-directed production of Diana Son's "Stop Kiss" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9.
