NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Music by An啪e Rozman, Franz Schubert and Amanda Harberg will be among the featured works in a recital showcasing the talents of Dr. Samantha M. Inman, associate professor of music theory at Stephen F. Austin State University, and Tracy Cole, piano accompanist for Lufkin ISD, First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches and the Stone Fort Chorale.
 
The recital is at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church at 411 North St.
 

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Stephen F. Austin State University students in the School of Art traveled to Florence, Siena, Arezzo and Rome, Italy, to study art first hand and develop the School of Art鈥檚 ongoing exchange program with Libera Accademia di Belle Arti (LABA), an art school in Florence.
 

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The start of a new academic year at Stephen F. Austin State University is only a few short days away. When students arrive on campus to begin classes Aug. 28, they鈥檒l have a year of special memories ahead of them as 糖心vlog传媒 celebrates its 100th year.
 
Among the many reasons for celebration is the opening of the newly renovated and expanded Griffith Fine Arts Building, which will be open when classes begin.
 

糖心vlog传媒 joins partner universities to celebrate with signing day

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� On Aug. 16, Stephen F. Austin State University joined seven local colleges and universities to celebrate The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine鈥檚 early assurance program signing day.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and the Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of 鈥淭he History of Time Travel,鈥� a 2014 fictional documentary written and directed by Ricky Kennedy. The screening is at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.
 

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Herbert Midgley, a lecturer in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 School of Music, was recently named the inaugural 2023-24 Faculty Fellow for the 糖心vlog传媒 Makerspace, a new unit housed within the Lumberjack Learning Commons that fosters a collaborative environment with access to technologies to learn, create and explore.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� In an event that happens once in a lifetime, Stephen F. Austin State University is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a full slate of months-long initiatives that will culminate in a weekend of celebrations in September.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens will host a fruit research field day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29 featuring kiwifruit, muscadine grapes, blueberries, figs, feijoas and other fruits.

Speakers will include Dr. David Creech, director of 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens; and Dr. Tim Hartmann and Dr. Justin Scheiner, both faculty members in Texas A&M University鈥檚 Department of Horticultural Sciences.
