NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens will host the monthly Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center.
Keith Hansen, a retired extension horticulture agent for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will present "I Wish I Never Planted That (There), and Other Thoughts after Gardening 30 Years in Tyler.鈥
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Registration is underway for fall classes in the Music Preparatory Division of the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music, according to Alba Madrid, Music Prep director.
The fall roster for youth includes private lessons in piano, violin, cello, viola, bass, voice, saxophone and flute. Lessons may be available for other instruments upon request. Group classes will be offered in piano for adults and children, Kindermusik (for students ages 0 to 7), 糖心vlog传媒 Children鈥檚 Chorus, Youth Choir and Strings Project.

Austin State University, led an international research expedition funded by National Science Foundation to study freshwater biodiversity in rivers in the Guiana Shield, a tropical region in South America facing environmental challenges.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 annual School of Art Faculty Exhibition will show Aug. 29 through Sept. 29 in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches. An opening reception is planned for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 With the added perk of exploring a new culture, 12 students from Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture traveled to the Netherlands this summer to learn about the country鈥檚 natural resources and horticulture production.
Over the course of the two-week trip, students visited four cities while observing history, art and scenery.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Dr. Judy Abbott, dean of Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 James I. Perkins College of Education, was named an Impact Academy fellow for the 2023-24 academic year through the national nonprofit organization Deans for Impact.
Impact Academy is a yearlong fellowship that aims to strengthen educator-preparation programs and prepare a diverse group of teachers to meet the needs of all pre-K-12 students. Since its inception in 2016, Impact Academy fellowship has served 139 educator-preparation leaders.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Join Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Health and Wellness Hub staff members at Nac Safe Place鈥檚 suicide awareness walk, scheduled for 5 p.m. Sept. 23 at Festival Park in downtown Nacogdoches.
Nac Safe Place is a collaboration of community agencies, schools and law enforcement officials dedicated to reducing the stigma associated with suicide in order to increase each person鈥檚 ability to seek help and prevent further loss of life.

A motorcycle aficionado, Noble鈥檚 decision to make a motorcycle-themed children鈥檚 book quickly proved inevitable. But what became apparent after hours of research was that most similar children鈥檚 books were tailored for boys.
