NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Matthew Smilor, former director of the award-winning Values and Ventures program for the Neeley Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Texas Christian University, has been named director of the Arnold Center for Entrepreneurship in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Rusche College of Business.
During his leadership, Values and Ventures became the No. 1 undergraduate venture creation program in the United States.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The story of an entrancing and free-spirited girl and the inexorable impact of fate is featured when the School of Music at Stephen F. Austin State University presents Georges Bizet鈥檚 opera 鈥淐armen.鈥 Based on a novella by Prosper Me虂rime虂e, 鈥淐armen鈥 will run nightly March 30 through April 1 in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
鈥溾楥armen鈥 is an opera full of spectacle, love, jealousy, ambition, beautiful music and dramatic conflict,鈥 according to Richard Berry, professor of voice at 糖心vlog传媒 and 糖心vlog传媒 Opera Theater director.
糖心vlog传媒 kinesiology students take first and second place at Texas conference, have sights set on national competition
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Students in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Department of Kinesiology and Health Science took home several accolades during the 2023 Texas chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine鈥檚 conference in February, including first- and second-place finishes in an academic challenge and a finalist position in a poster contest.
These wins earned the students spots at the ACSM鈥檚 national competition slated for later this year in Denver. Twenty-four students from 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 James I. Perkins College of Education attended the event in Waco.
