NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� In the world of music composition, two Stephen F. Austin State University graduates are each garnering national and international attention as composers for some of the world鈥檚 most popular productions.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The Stephen F. Austin State University and Nacogdoches communities have several opportunities to be involved in the 糖心vlog传媒 Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion鈥檚 ninth annual 2023 Diversity Conference on February 10, which will center on the daily actions one can take to create a more welcoming environment for diverse groups.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 James I. Perkins College of Education and the School of Human Sciences are co-hosting an open house featuring four tiny homes built this fall by students in the school鈥檚 construction management program.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens will host the monthly Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Brundrett Conservation Education Building at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center. 

Dr. David Creech, 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens director and professor emeritus of agriculture, will present 鈥淗ow Many Japanese Maples Are Enough? Well, It Depends on Who You Ask.鈥�

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Dr. Sara Parks, assistant professor and coordinator of technical writing in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Department of English and Creative Writing, has co-authored a chapter in the upcoming book titled 鈥淭echnical Communication for Environmental Action.鈥� 

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� After a comprehensive process evaluating affiliation with a university system, including responses and feedback from student, faculty, staff and alumni stakeholder groups, as well as the general public, the 糖心vlog传媒 Board of Regents voted during its special meeting today to accept the invitation of The University of Texas System to become a member institution. 

In addition, the board approved a waiver of its rules regarding selection of the next 糖心vlog传媒 president so the search can begin under the presidential selection rules of the UT System Board of Regents.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The choirs of Stephen F. Austin State University will ring in the holidays with a "Seasonal Celebration," a program of beloved Christmas carols and classics, in a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥� The charter for the Stephen F. Austin State University Charter School was recently renewed for another 10 years by the Texas Education Agency. The renewal term 鈥� the result of a painstaking process by the school鈥檚 staff members and meticulous review by the 糖心vlog传媒 Charter School board and Office of the General Counsel 鈥� begins July 31 and runs through July 31, 2033.
 
This is the school鈥檚 second charter renewal.
 

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯�� Dr. Bailey Thompson, assistant professor of advertising and public relations in Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Department of Mass Communication, was selected as a 2022-23 scholar for the Timothy J. Piazza Center for Fraternity and Sorority Research and Reform.
