NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Electric Guitar Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University will perform at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Music Recital Hall, Wright Music Building, on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Office of Multicultural Affairs is gearing up for its annual MLK Day of Service, slated for Jan. 16, 2023, and is currently taking service project requests for the Nacogdoches community.
The MLK Day of Service is an annual event that honors the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. During the event, participants volunteer their time and assist local agencies with various community service projects that will positively impact the Nacogdoches community.

Family-established endowment honors Music Prep鈥檚 Barnett
NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 An endowment honoring the late Pat Barnett has been established at Stephen F. Austin State University by her son, Barry Barnett, to recognize the many contributions she made to the university鈥檚 Music Preparatory Division in the School of Music.
The Patricia A. Barnett Fund commemorates her service as director of Music Prep from 1999 through 2019, during which time a number of advancements were made to the program鈥檚 mission, including moving into what is now known as the Music Prep House and the creation of new educational opportunities for young musicians.

Austin State University鈥檚 Arnold Center for Entrepreneurship in the Rusche College of Business recently sponsored 鈥淲omen in Entrepreneurship,鈥 a panel discussion for students, faculty and staff featuring three local female business owners.

20-year Army vet, Jonathan Shuskey, playing golf for 糖心vlog传媒
NACOGDOCHES, Texas () 鈥 Jonathan Shuskey has been busy since retiring from the military two years ago. The 20-year Army veteran just finished his first fall season with Stephen F. Austin State University golf after transferring from Christian Brothers University. The Lumberjacks played well but there is plenty to work on ahead of the spring season.
鈥淚 think we got some young guys and I count myself in that when I say young guys even though I'm 40 years old,鈥 Shuskey said.
