NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 During its quarterly meeting, the Stephen F. Austin State University board of regents recognized student, faculty and staff achievements, as well as approved faculty and staff appointments.

Special Recognitions
The board recognized staff members in the Office of Research and Graduate Studies as well as research librarians in the Steen Library for all they do to support student and faculty member research at 糖心vlog传媒.

糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Stone Fort Wind Quintet to present fall concert


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Stone Fort Wind Quintet at Stephen F. Austin State University will present works by David Sartor, Daniel Dorff, Astor Piazzolla and other composers when the faculty ensemble performs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

鈥淭he Stone Fort Wind Quintet is pleased to introduce our new double reed faculty members: Dr. Pablo Moreno, oboe, and Dr. Cody Hunter, bassoon,鈥 said Dr. Christina Guenther, professor flute at 糖心vlog传媒 and quintet member. Other members include Dr. Christopher Ayer, clarinet; and Dr. Andrea Denis, horn.

For 糖心vlog传媒 students, tiny homes prove to be big opportunities for course credit, community service


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 On a sunny day this fall, Cullum Brownlee removed his baseball cap, wiped the sweat from his brow and took a swig of cold water. Out on a busy construction site just east of Nacogdoches, he and other Stephen F. Austin State University students were building four tiny homes at Village Nac, a faith-based community for residents with chronic mental health and homelessness issues.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 James I. Perkins College of Education was recently awarded a five-year $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to enhance bilingual and multilingual education for school districts in Nacogdoches and Angelina counties.

Children of the court named for 糖心vlog传媒 Homecoming


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Robert Kubacak and Avery Turner, both of Nacogdoches, will serve as children of the court during Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 2022 Homecoming celebrations this weekend.

Robert is the 6-year-old son of Tony Kubacak and Sasha Kubacak 鈥08. Avery is the 9-year-old daughter of Trey Turner 鈥98 and 鈥02 and Lindsey Turner 鈥04 and 鈥07.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 A lot of lines. A number of actors. A huge set. A multitude of props, lights and sounds. The Stephen F.
