NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Office of Research and Graduate Studies has announced the recipients of its annual Research and Creative Activity grants, which support initial research efforts by 糖心vlog传媒 faculty members and prepares them and their research for submission to national grant programs.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Even as more and more Americans are getting a COVID vaccine, and pandemic protocols are beginning to loosen up a bit, safety remains at the forefront for Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre as students prepare to present Jane Martin鈥檚 鈥淭alking With 鈥︹ April 20 through 24 in Kennedy Auditorium on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

Art exhibition canceled


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 An exhibition of works by Center-based artist David Masterson, scheduled to open April 10 in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, has been canceled.

Ribbon cutting to celebrate Music Prep 40th anniversary, other events


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Music Preparatory Division at Stephen F. Austin State University at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 15, at the Music Prep House, 3028 Raguet St.

In celebration of the milestone anniversary, Music Prep will host an outdoor music festival on May 1, also at the Prep House, and plans are underway for the creation of the Shirley Watterston Piano Lab. The ribbon cutting will be livestreamed on the Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page.

Final Brave Space Series of the semester scheduled at 糖心vlog传媒


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Office of Multicultural Affairs will host its final Brave Space Series of the semester at 4 p.m. Monday, April 12.

The program, titled 鈥淏e the Change You Want to See,鈥 will educate attendees about how to make a paradigm shift in themselves and the world around them.

鈥淭he goal of this program is to encourage attendees to shift things in their own lives and then share those changes with the world in order to create a better society,鈥 said DaQuan Allen, OMA student ambassador.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art will present an exhibition of works by Center-based artist David Masterson opening April 10 in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

糖心vlog传媒 to host Conservation Careers Camp


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Registration is now open for Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Conservation Careers Camp hosted by the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture.

The camp, held June 20 to 24, is open to students age 14 to 17 who are interested in exploring career opportunities in natural resource management through engaging, hands-on experiences led by 糖心vlog传媒 professors and industry professionals.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music faculty members will present 鈥淎n Evening of Chamber Music: Piano Trios of Schumann and Faure鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in Cole Concert Hall on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

The performance features Dr. Andrew Parr, professor of piano; Linda Parr, piano instructor in the 糖心vlog传媒 Music Preparatory Division; Dr. Jennifer Dalmas, professor of violin and viola; and Dr. Evgeni Raychev, adjunct faculty, cello.

糖心vlog传媒 School of Theatre to present student-directed 鈥楽top Kiss鈥


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Theatre will present the student-directed play 鈥淪top Kiss鈥 by Diana Son in both streaming and in-person performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10, in Regents Suite A of the Baker Pattillo Student Center on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.

糖心vlog传媒 College of Fine Arts Dean鈥檚 Circle to recognize 2021 award recipients


The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts Dean鈥檚 Circle will recognize six exceptional students during the presentation of the annual Dean鈥檚 Awards at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, in Kennedy Auditorium on the 糖心vlog传媒 campus.
