糖心vlog传媒 Department of Mass Communication, Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce partner for community-focused television program


NACOGDCOCHES, Texas 鈥撯 Students from Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Department of Mass Communication collaborated with the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce to produce a new television program, 鈥淲e Are Nacogdoches,鈥 on the department-run local television station 糖心vlog传媒-TV2.

Hosted by Kelly Augustine, the chamber鈥檚 chief executive officer, the program鈥檚 purpose is to highlight people, organizations and issues that shape Nacogdoches, the town 糖心vlog传媒 has called home for its century of existence.

糖心vlog传媒 to host district, regional UIL One-Act Play contests


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The School of Theatre and Dance at Stephen F. Austin State University will host the University Interscholastic League 3A District 21 One-Act Play Contest Friday, March 8, in the Griffith Fine Arts Building on the university campus.

Performances will begin at 10 a.m. in the Flex Theatre and will continue throughout the day. Admission is free to watch the student performances.

Children invited to 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens鈥 Little Princess Tea Party


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Princesses from across East Texas are invited to don their best ball gown and sip tea with friends during the 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens' Little Princess Tea Party slated for April 13 in the Stephen F. Austin State University Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden.

Kindness is the theme for this year鈥檚 event, and two sessions will be offered 鈥 the first at 10 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m.

"The azalea garden creates a magical setting for young princesses and fairies to celebrate the natural beauty of East Texas,鈥 said Kay Jenkins, 糖心vlog传媒 Gardens educational programs coordinator.

糖心vlog传媒 music theory students to present research at conferences


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Three Stephen F. Austin State University graduate students enrolled in the online Readings in Music Theory class taught by Dr. Samantha Inman have been invited to make presentations on their research at prestigious conferences this spring.

Loree McCary named 糖心vlog传媒 interim director of athletics


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Gina Oglesbee, Stephen F. Austin State University interim president, has named Loree McCary interim director of athletics effective March 11, the university announced Monday.

鈥淟oree鈥檚 extensive experience and proven leadership within 糖心vlog传媒 Athletics ideally position her to lead during this vital transition,鈥 Oglesbee said in an email to campus Monday. 鈥淲e eagerly anticipate Loree's interim leadership, focusing on continuing our legacy of excellence and community spirit within our athletic programs.鈥

NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 The annual Lifelong Learning Conference, hosted through Stephen F. Austin State University鈥檚 Department of Education Studies, is accepting proposals through March 17 and will be held June 28 in 糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Janice A. Pattillo Early Childhood Research Center.

糖心vlog传媒鈥檚 Ryan Ivey to join Louisiana Tech as director of athletics, vice president


NACOGDOCHES, Texas 鈥 Stephen F. Austin State University announced Friday that athletics director Ryan Ivey has been named Louisiana Tech鈥檚 vice president and director of athletics. He joins the Ruston, Louisiana, university with more than 18 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics.
